We are a family who are owned by the British shorthair breed and love and adore their fantastic purrsonality so much that we decided to go into breeding as I love having kittens around and watching them grow and play. Myself, I have always been a cat lover anyway and always had moggies but when I came across the British breed I absolutely fell in love and had to have one, one became two, and when I went to collect the second we fell in love with a beautiful blue at the same time and ended up with three!

 

 

When we came home with our two my mom decided she was in love so we ended up with our stud boy Simon too, so that is how it came about.

The British shorthair cat is an amazing breed, they don't mature until they are around 3-5 years of age and can get to a good 4-6 kg in weight for females or even 7-9kg for boys! and because of how late they mature they live for up to an impressive 20 years, so that is a nice long life span on average. What I fell in love with these cats were the soft plush fur, and the flat face, and nice round ears. But obviously not all are the same. Some have different slightly coarse fur, and slightly more pointer noses, but generally they are all the same.

 

 

My vet described them as the Staffordshire Bull terrier of the feline species, with their big head and fat neck! I love the way they love to be with you, always watching, at your feet, observing and checking that you do it just right!
