Here we have Poppy and Simon's first litter born on 2 July 2013.
We were very surprised by this litter as we had bets on which colours would come out depending on Poppy's family tree - we didn't expect any colours from Simon's side as his was all black tipped, so when five little SIlver black Spotted babies were born we were very shocked! I did some research to find out that the black tipped colour came from a mating between a persian and a silver tabby BSH.
Poppy was a very good mom and had an easy birth. When she started getting contractions she came over to me and meowed for me to follow her into her nesting box.

She was very good with them all as they were born but baby number five nearly got forgotten so I had to break his/her sack and rub gently then pass over to Poppy who then took over.
Unfortunately, at 2 weeks old we had to euthanise our little boy Scamp as earlier in the week he had escaped out of his box and he had got so cold he suffered brain damage and this caused him to have serious seizures, which we felt was too cruel to keep him alive for testing.
Poppy's four remaining girls thrived, with a little help from me for Ginger (who is now called Winnie with her new family) as she kept being pushed off by her bigger sisters to needed bottle feeding.
We have Kayla (now Millie with her new family), Theia, Ginger (aka Winnie) and Penny (now precious) and they were such a wonderful bunch of characters.
I hear every so often on how they're doing and I love it!
